November weekend non-conference basketball before Thanksgiving. We meet again.
Each week during the year, we’ll talk about three games on the weekend slate—one you have to see, one you have to keep an eye on and one you should avoid at all costs. I’m not here to tell you how to live your life, but I will say if you follow my advice it’ll be a better life for you to live.
As always, the weekend begins at 7 p.m. ET on Friday. Apologies to the only Florida-Florida State game that's likely to matter this month.
Must Watch (Times ET)
No. 21 Ohio State at No. 23 Texas A&M (9 p.m., Friday, SEC Network)
Many would go for Alabama and Purdue. Those people are FOOLS! FOOLS I SAY.
Purdue should have no answer for Alabama’s athleticism and scoring prowess1; meanwhile, the Buckeyes and Aggies present as an evenly-matched tete a tete on the undercard that might usurp the main event.
Also: for both fanbases, this game is functionally being played on the moon. Ohio State travels to Northwestern for football this weekend, and A&M hosts New Mexico State. Neither of those games should matter, and yet both will be the more pressing concern of the respective fanbases at lunatic institutions where football eats up an overwhelming amount of the concern budget.
