Watch, Monitor, Don't: December 30, 2022
Remember last week, when I whined and griped about a lack of college hoops—good, bad or otherwise—on our holiday schedule? Yeah, no, we’re good now.
Remember: with college hoops, the NFL, college football and any NHL/NBA interests you might have, there’s just so much. So much to watch, keep track of, gamble on (if that’s your thing), tweet about while you can. You’re but one person, with a phone and a tv and a laptop, maybe an iPad, perhaps another tv or two… my point is, you have a finite number of screens to devote to Division I hoops the next couple of days. Let me help you with your weekend viewing plans.
Subscribing to Sons of Pepe Sanchez is recommended by four out of five leading cardiologists; we’re working to have the dissenter whacked.
As always, the weekend starts at 7 p.m. ET on Friday; actual apologies to a solid early ACC slate to the holiday weekend featuring UNC-Pitt at noon, Miami-Notre Dame at 2 p.m. and North Carolina State-Clemson at 4 p.m. Having said that, why? Some of us still have to work a little tomorrow.
Must Watch (Times ET)
No. 2 UConn at No. 22 Xavier, 12 p.m., Saturday (FOX)
With all the games slated for this weekend—over 110 just on Saturday—it’s pretty bizarre that this is the only top-25 matchup on the slate. But! It’s a good one.
