Trevon Brazile Tried to Kill A Man
Recording for posterity, and also if requested by the prosecution?
I think it’s very important, from jump street, to absolve Broden Lien from any blame* here.
* Unless it comes out that he said or did something horrid or hateful during the game. Then the blame becomes justified and understandable.
Lien showed up at Bud Walton Arena with the rest of his teammates Wednesday night likely assuming the Jackrabbits would have no better than a punchers’ chance against an Arkansas team Eric Musselman has assembled that will compete for a national title this year. Musselman has put together a squad of ornery, Avenger-sized athletes headed by Nick Smith Jr., who is probably the best freshman in the country this year and would be a perfectly reasonable candidate to go No. 1 overall in next year’s NBA Draft if Victor Wembanyama and Scoot Henderson didn’t exist. He distributes touches between two other potential first-round talents in Anthony Black and Jordan Walsh—well, will distribute touches, since he’s not even playing yet as he recovers from a knee injury—along with Ricky Council IV, the Mitchell transfers (Makhi and Makhel) from Rhode Island, and Trevon Brazile (if you paid attention to the headline, he’s going to come up again here).
South Dakota State does not have much of that caliber talent at the moment, especially now that Baylor Scheierman plies his trade at Creighton.
