Aaron Cooley nursed his coffee and thought about the day ahead.
The studio was doing well—producing seven podcasts under the main umbrella of CoolViz was no mean feat and he was not about to let anything convince him that these were the results of anything except hard work. The Spotify deal had helped immensely and opened doors he never could have wedged his foot in on his own, but there has to be something of value brought to the table if Spotify is going to partner up with you.
CoolViz, with the seven main podcasts doing well over 10 million a month and the firm’s reputation at such a strength that they were having to turn new editing and production business away, was humming along nicely. Cooley, his eyes turned downward to check on the latest numbers, had come a long way in a short time and his empire had grown from three guys on laptops to a sought-after loft in Philadelphia with four studios and more than two-dozen full-time employees.
